Which material does flame-retardant flannel belong to?

25-06-2023

Flame retardant flannel is divided into two processes: using flame retardant yarn as raw material and finishing the fabric with flame retardant.

Flame retardant flannel include elastic flame retardant fabrics, flame retardant acrylic fabrics, all cotton flame retardant fabrics, aramid flame retardant fabrics, and CVC flame retardant fabrics.

Elastic flame-retardant fabric: Elastic flame-retardant fabric is woven from 5% spandex silk and 95% cotton fiber. Because the addition of spandex fiber to the material gives it elasticity, it improves its wearability, elasticity, and is less prone to wrinkling.

Flame retardant acrylic fabric: Flame retardant acrylic is also known as modified or modified acrylic, and its fibers have flame retardant properties. This type of flame retardant fabric has a soft and elastic texture, a loose and woolly feel, and good warmth retention, making it suitable for winter clothing, spring and autumn work clothes, and other applications. Nylon cotton flame-retardant fabric: Nylon cotton flame-retardant fabric is a blend of 12% nylon and 88% cotton fibers processed by PROBAN flame-retardant process. This material has strong wear resistance, wrinkle resistance, breathability, and high strength. The protective clothing made of this fabric not only has good flame retardancy, but also effectively prevents sparks and metal droplets from splashing. Its ATPV value is higher and its thermal protection performance is better, making it a more high-end choice among flame retardant fabrics.

Aramid flame-retardant fabric: Aramid fiber itself has characteristics such as non flammability, excellent chemical stability, excellent electrical insulation, long-lasting thermal stability, and excellent mechanical properties. Therefore, Aramid materials have extremely excellent fire and flame retardancy, arc resistance, chemical corrosion resistance, thermal protection, and wear and tear resistance.

CVC flame-retardant fabric: CVC flame-retardant fabric is a blend of over 60% cotton fiber and less than 40% polyester fiber. In addition to the excellent characteristics of cotton fiber, it also has the good elasticity and recovery ability of polyester fiber. The material is quite wide, has good wrinkle resistance, and is wear-resistant and durable. Polyester flame retardant Oxford fabric, a newly developed flame retardant finishing process, has the characteristics of water resistance, excellent flame retardant effect, good hand feel, non-toxic and safe. This product is halogen-free, washable, and meets ecological and environmental requirements.

Flame retardant fabrics are widely used in various fields such as protective clothing, firefighting, aviation, automotive, petroleum, coal, metallurgy, power, natural gas, maritime transportation, building materials, bedding, curtains, sofas, military supplies, tent fabrics, cargo yard covers, etc.
